March 19th-March 25th 2023-Adventures in Atlanta!

Wow!  Such an amazing week!  The kids were pumped to finish their school work and pack their own stuff for our trip to Atlanta!  I hardly had to do anything at all!   We went to spend time with family, a cousin had just had her baby and we wanted to meet him.  We went with our Uncle and Aunt to the Atlanta Aquarium, because the kids really wanted to go last year but we ran out of time.  It is the biggest aquarium in the United States!  All salt water animals.  The kids favorites were the sharks, the Whale Shark, and the Dolphin show!  Evey wanted to sit in the splash zone of course but the rest of us didn't.  We spent about 4 hours at the Aquarium, we learned a lot and the kids enjoyed it so much!  The eels were the creepiest thing we saw, maybe even more than the Giant Japanese Crab.

We love exploring our world, getting to see new things, meet new people, etc.  When we travel we see how other people live and what things they have differently than here at home.  I really believe that traveling has expanded their brains and I'm just glad they're all old enough to make it easier now.

The Dolphin Stage

Nelly asked the staff about how they got the Whale Sharks, they found them as babies in an Asian market to be sold for food.  They bought them and brought them here, so they've lived in the Aquarium their whole lives!

The Coral Reef exhibit was amazing!  You walk from this dark tunnel out into the very bright light!  It was so cheerful and wonderful!
