What a snowy week! It seemed like non stop snow was coming everyday! I just felt like doing a lot of cozy things, like sitting on the couch and reading with the kids, and we did some Christmas School stuff, like learning about St. Nicholas and how Christmas got started; we also learned about how different it is celebrated around the world!
Here is Evey helping her friends build a snow fort!

| Nelly's best friend made a school book for her to do, she loved it and spent a whole morning on it! They did a pretty good job on it too! |

Nelly and her best friend helped me put up these decals in her room, they were so helpful!
These next few photos are from our Christmas party with our co-op, we did a Christmas escape room, the younger kids had books read to them and sang songs. And they all got into groups and went "around the world" learning the different ways culture's celebrate Christmas. From Italy, Germany, USA, to Bethlehem. Then the older girls sang with the group at the Assisted Living Center that we have here in town.

| We picked out a Christmas tree at our local tree shop, they have it in their backyard every year; local trees and it smells so good! |
 |
| Went to the nearby mall to donate to different things at the Giving Machine, they kids chose things from a winter kit to a years supply of food, toys for kids and diapers. |
Evey pretending to be the Christmas tree. And they did a great job helping me decorate the tree!

The little kids sang Christmas songs for us!
That is the conclusion of our "Christmas School" week! I'm sure we'll continue to be talking about all things Christmas. We also have a Norwegian kit from the Good and Beautiful with books to read and it came with a booklet of cards for writing to others with. I've received one myself already! Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, I hope the kids will continue the spirit long after the season is over. |
