This week has been the best! After some learning at home and packing we headed for our surprise trip to Kawai Hawaii! The kids have enjoyed the ocean, seeing ocean creatures and the flora on the island. It has been amazing!
Okay, Google, you've got to put my pictures in the right order! C'mon! Okay, well, the last few weeks have been great! We finished off our Space Science Unit, which was fun! We have one more project but we'll still move on, the kids want to do plants next. Which is perfect because we have been planting a lot of seeds for our garden! Nelly made a fort with her friend. This was really cool! My brother set up a field trip for us at the Holdman Studios in Highland, in Thanksgiving Point. The guy who started it has been doing stained glass since he was a teenager! We got a whole tour, it was amazing! We got to see all the cool equipment and some new windows they are working on for a Temple in Cambodia, we also got to keep a piece for each of us! There are so many machines that they use, for some reason I thought they cut them by hand, but they have designers and a water cutting machine that cuts the glass, its supe...
Monday began with setting out all the books and games we received from MTH for the kids and all we'll be learning this coming season. It was just as good if not better then Christmas! We've been reading through the books and playing the new games all week! We are so excited and feel so blessed. Mothers Day with Mamai The girls went with their Aunt to the craft store to get materials to make these tiara's she wanted to make with them. Each one is unique and they got creative with the materials. Math with Ziggy Evey and Libby participated in a "fashion show" where they wore clothes that belong to ladies in our ward. For example, cheer uniforms or prom dresses. It was fun and we learned some cute things about each other. All our cool new resources!! Learning Christmas time! :)
Last week was a rough one, we all took turns being sick. Blah, we're ready for summer! We did our best and still made time to learn, even if it was in between being sick in bed. You just do what you can, right! Doing math! The kids found a bird egg outside our front door, they begged me to buy an incubator. So far it seems to be growing? I'm not really sure, but I guess we'll see! I'm not even sure what kind of bird it is yet. I've raised baby birds before, and I'm a little worried that it may not make it; the kids seem pretty confident. It is day and night work though, lots of time taking care of it. It is so tiny though! Our Ward's Primary had an activity where the kids got mission calls then reported to the Church, they learned about their areas from members who had served there, they loved it! We stood outside to welcome them home! And they were all given Book of Mormons to give away. Zig got Ecuador! Ne...
